The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, asserted that he is the President of the working class, not of imperialism or of the oligarchies, “for that reason, I am being attacked incessantly”.
“There they are with their attacks, we with our power,” he highlighted in the parish of January 23, in the Simón Bolívar Socialist Commune, where he led the presentation of advances in the Consolidation of the Municipal Government Route.
He specified that National Power is the union of several factors and that each of them must advance in its strengthening to guarantee the defense of the Homeland, sovereignty and national independence.
“Today we have a true National Power, this project is not and will never be based on a man, it has to be a People, a Republic, a complete Homeland,” he said.
In that regard, he called for building National Power to ensure respect for Venezuela, the Constitution, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and reaffirmed that the Bolivarian Revolution is based on the strength of the organized People and on the unrestricted defense of the Homeland.
“We have to make a powerful defense of Venezuelan democracy, because imperialism has been campaigning for 26 years, lying about the fact that the people live in a dictatorship,” he emphasized.
The head of state stressed that “what we have done is to build with Chávez and Bolívar, it is the construction of a vibrant democracy, the most complete in our America. This is a democracy that gives power to ordinary people, to solve problems and to build the country.”
“In the world we live in, nobody respects those who are ambitious, corrupt and selfless. We have to respect our country, like someone who respects a child, because the Fatherland is sacred,” he said.
He added that it is also necessary to build National Power “to ensure respect for our borders: sky, sea and earth, but, above all, for our noble people.”
