President Nicolás Maduro, assured that in this swearing in for a new constitutional term, he is more aware because he knows where he comes from and who put him in power.

“I have only one owner, one boss and my strength belongs to the ordinary people, the worker, the youth, the girl, the boy, it is the strength of Bolivar,” he said from the Elliptical Hall of the Federal Legislative Palace, Caracas.

He also asserted that he has not been appointed president by the United States government, imperialist governments or the Latin American right wing. “I come from the people and I owe my life, my body and my soul to the people,” he said.

“I was not, have not been and will not be, president of the oligarchies, of surnames, of supremacism or of imperialism, whatever you call it,” he emphasized.

The Head of State pointed out that the presidential band they put on him today has more weight and commitment, because it came from the people's own hands.
