President Maduro: I received an invitation from the AN to be sworn in as President on January 10

This Tuesday, October 15, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported that he has already received an invitation from the Board of Directors of the National Assembly (AN), to “swear in as Constitutional President for the period 2025-2031, next January 10, in the Federal Legislative Palace before the sovereign of Venezuela.”

In this regard, he stressed that “I publicly confirm that I have received the letter of invitation and that I will formally attend the fulfillment of the constitutional oath in accordance with the Constitution, as the winning candidate, once so enacted by the Electoral Power.”

The announcement was made at the Mountain Barracks, in the parish of 23 de Enero, in the Libertador municipality, where he led the act of Transmission of Command of the General Commands of the Army, Navy, Aviation and Militia; the Integral Defense Regions (REDI) (Capital, Central, Los Andes, Guyana and Insular); the Presidential Honor Guard (GHP); the Bolivarian Service of National Intelligence (SEBIN) and the Military Counterintelligence Directorate (DGGIM).
