President Maduro: I swear to maintain the strength and commitment to defend this Homeland!

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, swore to maintain the same strength and the same commitment to defend this Homeland and the Venezuelan People during his new presidential term 2025-2031.

In addition, from the Elliptical Hall of the National Assembly, the president pledged to defend, during his new term at the head of the country, the ideals of the Supreme Commander, Hugo Chávez Frías and of El Libertador, Simón Bolívar.

“I swear loyalty to the dreams, ideals, and struggles of Commander Chávez, which are nothing other than the original dreams of El Libertador, Simon Bolivar. Those ideas, those dreams, of those men on horseback who threw the Spanish Empire out of these lands,” he emphasized.

“This oath is accompanied by the People in the street, because it is the people's swearing,” said the Head of State.
