The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, through his account on the social network Telegram, called for the “freedom of conscience of the People to choose the best”.

“I trust the will of the overwhelming majority,” wrote the head of state, while explaining that on May 25, “we will elect the governors, legislative councils, deputies and deputies of the new National Assembly 2026-2031.”

Earlier, in an audio broadcast by the State channel, Venezolana de Televisión, he indicated that “today we elected the governors of 24 states of the country, 285 deputies to the National Assembly, 24 legislative councils. The one who chooses is the ordinary man and woman who are the owners of the Fatherland. Whoever votes chooses who will govern him in that entity, his National Assembly to legislate, defend the People, sovereignty, and full economic recovery.”
