This Wednesday, August 20, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that Latin America and the Caribbean “is a territory in dispute between the forces of independence, the advancement and struggle of the Peoples and the obscurantist force of the American empire.”

“It's a permanent pulse, ALBA came about in the heat of that pulse. This Bolivarian Alliance is for the peace of our Peoples, for the overcoming of inequality and poverty, for social, cultural and economic cooperation, and the climate emergency,” he emphasized.

This was stated at the XIII Extraordinary Summit of Heads of States and Government of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America — Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), via videoconference, in which all threats to Latin American Peoples are addressed.

“At ALBA we are always active, this extraordinary 13th summit is to update everything that has to do with permanent cooperation plans”,

In addition, the head of state stressed that this summit is also appropriate “to review the busy, interesting situation that we have today in the Continent”.
