President Maduro met with the Prime Minister of Ethiopia and called for deepening bilateral relations

President Nicolás Maduro held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed Ali, during his visit to Kazan, Russia, in the framework of the XVI BRICS Summit.

“We are dealing with issues that serve as leverage and will guarantee us well-being, shared development, the construction of a new world and peace for our peoples,” said the head of state in a post on his Telegram channel.

President Maduro said that both nations must make profound and rapid progress in political and democratic relations.

“The time of the new geopolitics has accelerated everything. The very emergence and consolidation of the BRICS is a great sign,” he added.
