The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted this Monday the construction of a new economic model for the generation of wealth through tax collection.
During the 44th broadcast of his program Con Maduro+, the head of state explained that this new model “has to generate goods; food, clothing, services and wealth”, which “has a fundamental source, like all countries in the world that don't have oil (...) we have been configuring a system that must be improved more, improved more and that will give much more money”.
He explained that it is a system for society to produce its wealth through taxes. “The one who produces the most, the one who has the most wealth who pays their taxes and who pays the most; tax justice, in that direction we are going, is the basis of justice, equality, tax justice and we have made progress,” he said.
The President noted that the recovery of the comprehensive minimum income is supported, “to a large extent, by the increase in tax collection” by the Integrated Customs and Tax Administration Service (SENIAT).
