President Maduro ordered the delivery of resources to implement projects approved in the National Consultation

This Wednesday, May 08, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, ordered to guarantee financial resources for the execution of the projects approved by the People's Power at the National Consultation held on April 21, as well as technical advice, equipment and machinery “so that they start well and finish quickly.”

The instruction was addressed to the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, for the disbursement of resources to the 4,500 communal circuits in order to “comply with the determined word and the sovereign decision of the people on April 21”.

In this regard, he specified that in the aforementioned Consultation the Organized People's Consultation approved more than 27,000 projects in areas prioritized for community development.

He explained that 17.3% of the approved projects correspond to water management; 14.1% to roads and 11.8% to electricity.

From Simon Bolivar Park in La Carlota, where he led the launch of the Great Mission Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Fatherland and the delivery of funding to the People's Power, the National President explained that in the rest of the approved projects, he noted that they were distributed as follows: 9.2% Health; 6.2% Environmental; 6% Protective Walls; 5.3% Productive Services; 4.5% Maritime, Fluvial and Aquaculture Infrastructure.

He added that 3.9% Sport; 3.8% Industrial Processes; 2.9% Public Transport; 2.6% Agricultural Production System; 2.3% Culture; 1.1% Agricultural Systems and 0.5% Tourism.

On the other hand, he announced that by Presidential Decree it will be mandatory to hold a National Consultation every quarter of the year, which would be four annual consultations “to approve projects and that resources go directly to the People without intermediaries.”
