President Maduro praises the struggle of Venezuelan peasants

This Maundy Thursday, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, praised the historic struggle of land workers, through his Telegram channel in order to commemorate the World Day of Peasant Struggle.

“On this Holy Thursday of deep reflection, we celebrate the World Day of Peasant Struggle and recognize the immense commitment that rural men and women have to the production of food,” he wrote in the message, accompanied by audiovisual material.

Likewise, the head of state stressed that Venezuela has the best climate, fertile soils, abundant water sources and a working people. “For this reason, we will continue to join forces and capacities to increase agricultural production, it is a 25-year sustained effort, based on the vision of the future, the commitment and work that Commander Chávez began to prioritize production, invest in technology and end large estates,” he stressed.

“We are not going to retreat from the achievements of the historic struggle for land. You have my support!” , he stressed.
