President Maduro recalled the popular victory of the 2009 constitutional amendment

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, commemorated this Thursday the 15th anniversary of the popular victory of the constitutional amendment promoted by Commander Hugo Chávez.

Through his account on the social network X, the head of state wrote: “It is 15 years since an electoral victory of great magnitude for the Revolution. With a strong YES, the Venezuelan people raised the flags of their dignity, opening the doors of the future to the Bolivarian Homeland.”

On February 15, 2009, more than 6 million 300 thousand voters said “Yes” to the approval of the constitutional amendment proposed by the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution Hugo Chávez, which since then allowed the continuous re-election of elected offices.
