President Maduro received credentials from ambassadors from Brazil, Kuwait, Guyana, Serbia, Zimbabwe, the Philippines and Norway

This Tuesday, February 20, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, received the credentials that accredit the ambassadors of Brazil, Kuwait, Guyana, Serbia, Zimbabwe, the Philippines and Norway, in order to strengthen the ties of diplomacy and cooperation between countries and to continue to advance in the consolidation of relations with the peoples of the world, based on respect, cooperation and deep friendship.
The event took place in the Salón Sol del Perú of the Miraflores Palace, with the presence of the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez, the Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, the first fighter, Cilia Flores, and other authorities.
In this regard, the first to present her credentials was Glivânia María de Oliveira as Brazil's ambassador to Venezuela.
After an extensive work schedule between the presidents of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, carried out in May 2023, the signing of strategic agreements for the development of both nations took place.
In addition, the head of state received credentials from the ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, KatarinaAndri and the ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway, Nils Martin Gunneng.
Other ambassadors received in Miraflores were that of the Republic of the Philippines, Joseph Gerad B. Angeles, and of the State of Kuwait, Fadel Haidar Saud Alhasan.
Venezuela and the Philippines formally established ties of friendship and cooperation in 1968 and it was in 1999, with the coming to power of Commander Hugo Chávez, that relations were strengthened based on his vision of the creation of a multicentric and multipolar world.
On the other hand, Caracas and Kuwait built a road map with the purpose of implementing joint projects in agriculture, energy, mining, technology and telecommunications to consolidate economic investments, during President Maduro's Eurasian tour in 2022.
The diplomat Meshack Kitchen, who accredits him as ambassador appointed by the Republic of Zimbabwe, handed over his credentials.
Caracas and Harare have maintained bilateral relations since 1987, during which four cooperation instruments were signed. In parallel, both nations share spaces in the Group of Friends in Defense of the United Nations Charter.
The ambassador of Guyana, Richard Van West-Charles, also presented his documentation to President Maduro.
Van West-Charles is a doctor of medicine, with a career of more than forty years in public health and water resource management.
