President Maduro receives notification of the start of the 2025-2026 legislative period

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, received this Wednesday the notification of the beginning of the 2025-2026 session of the National Assembly (AN), by the Board of Directors of the Parliament, headed by Deputy Jorge Rodríguez.

“Welcome to the Presidential Palace of Miraflores, this beautiful, large house that is a house of peace and is the House of the People. I am the guardian of this People's House and the guardian of peace, I am aware of what I am and what I should be,” said the Head of State.

The event was also attended by deputies from the democratic opposition who make up the Parliament, which began the new legislative period on January 5, as established by the Constitution of the Republic.
