President Maduro reports arrest of 10 guarimbas preparation chiefs

On the night of this Friday, August 2, the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, reported that ten chiefs of those who prepared the guarimbas were captured.

“In real time they just informed me and those who were captured right there testify. 80% of those who participated in the terrorist guarimbas did not vote in these elections (...) Most of those who participated in the violent acts were trained in camps in Texas, Colombia, Peru and Chile,” he said.

President Maduro said he respects those who don't want it but asked them “to love Venezuela (...) They don't want me, but they do want their family because this is the only country we have and it's the best country in the world and let all Venezuelans follow the path of peace. Let us unite in love and love for Venezuela.”
