President Maduro: Revolution initiated by Commander Chávez has been and will be of a cultural nature

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, asserted that for the Revolution to be true it must be a great Cultural Revolution.

“The Revolution initiated by Commander Hugo Chávez has been and will be a cultural revolution, it is the Revolution of Venezuela, of being proud of what we are, of appreciating it and of making it shine in the world, our dances, our songs, our rhythms, that rebellious character, as well as supportive and humanistic,” said the Head of State, during a telephone contact on the occasion of the declaration of Joropo as Intangible Heritage of the Humanity.

He also emphasized that the Venezuelan people are profoundly human, noble, egalitarian and that has a multidiverse, multicolored expression, in rhythms, songs, content, art, theater and culture in general.

The National President recalled that Venezuela has a recognized and beloved orchestra system in which 1,350,000 children and young people participate, and it also has a movement of boys, girls and young people from the César Rengifo theater that is now in dozens and hundreds of schools, high schools and now goes to the Communes.

“With the Great Mission Viva Venezuela Mi Patria Querida, thousands and thousands of cultivators and cultures are the protagonists of this Cultural Revolution, a necessary cultural Revolution, because Venezuela was being converted into a kind of colony that consumes strange things,” he said.

Maduro pointed out that we are in a great cultural battle, between our identity, true Venezuela and those who say they want to invade us and “turn us into one more colony and star on the flag of the United States.”

In that sense, he affirmed that the Venezuelan Flag is beautiful and went through the hands of our heroes, Miranda, Bolivar, Sucre.
