President Maduro said that preventive measures prevented the country from running out of electricity (+attack)

This Wednesday, July 31, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, stated that the preventive measures taken by the Bolivarian Government prevented the country from being left without electricity for 10 days.

“The main objective was to attack Al Guri and leave the country without electricity for 10 days, the first attack would be at 12 noon on Sunday, July 28 and another at 8 at night, but with extreme security measures we managed to guarantee the proper functioning of the El Guri hydroelectric power plant,” said Maduro, during an international press conference.

The Head of State assured that Colombians Álvaro Uribe and Iván Duque are involved. “We captured the one who was going to attack the Gu Ri, he's already in prison and the accomplices are being sought,” he said.

“Imagine the country without light. The population intuitively voted early, both opponents and patriots. Already at one o'clock in the afternoon, 46% of the voters had voted,” he added.

Maduro congratulated the Minister of People's Power for Electric Energy, Jorge Márquez, for being attentive to the plans and guaranteeing peace during election day.
