The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reaffirmed that Venezuela has an effective Economic Plan, which has been strengthened in the midst of the war that U.S. imperialism waged against the country, especially in the economic sphere.

He confirmed that there is sustained growth in domestic production, trade, financial transactions and growth in the income of Venezuelans.

He argued that this trend “will continue to grow in food production, agribusiness, pharmaceutical production and everything that has to do with satisfying the country's internal needs.”

He stressed that the Venezuelan economy, since 2014, in which 99% of national income was lost, is a body that is in recovery and that must continue to be cared for.

“The economic body is new, but from the recovery of a battered economic body. And some elements of balance are still missing, which will be achieved in phases until they are consolidated,” he said in the Digital Zone segment of broadcast number 93 of the Con Maduro+ program .

He also argued that he aspires to bring the percentage of unnecessary product imports to zero and quoted José Gervasio Artigas: “Let's not expect anything but from ourselves”

He also recalled that the first phase of the Bolivarian Revolution had significant oil revenues. At this point, he mentioned Commander Hugo Chávez's warning about economic wars and a series of recommendations for dealing with it.

“The last time I spoke with Commander Chávez, if I remember correctly, on February 22, 2013, we had a meeting (...), almost 5 hours ago, the Commander analyzed us and told us, a very tough economic war is coming. It alerted us,” he said.
