The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that the Bolivarian Government continues to develop in a very successful manner all plans for the deployment of the national defensive system.
“The national defensive system today is in a very advanced state, more powerful than ever before, always prepared to preserve national sovereignty, the integrity of the country, independence and win peace. That's the slogan,” he said.
This was stated at the inauguration of the Room for Self-Government and Presentation of Community Projects in the Comuna 8 Raíces, in La Pastora, within the framework of the 13th Anniversary of the Coup de Timón, for which it is planned to deliver more than 20,000 works nationwide, in an activity called the Obratón.
The head of state stressed that “let's continue to win peace. In this world that we have, no one respects cowards and fainthearted people. Here, people who give themselves to respect, to the courageous, are respected.”
He stressed that “with intelligence, wisdom and courage, we are increasingly fine-tuned to an optimal state of the country's territorial defensive system, with two slogans: prepared for active and prolonged popular resistance, and the second, which is the permanent offensive to win peace.”
In this context, he recalled that last week the Integral Defense Zone (ZODI) was activated in the states of Miranda, Zulia, Apure, Táchira, Mérida, Lara, Guárico, Anzoátegui, Bolívar, Monagas, including in Caracas.
“Well, the whole country, from North to South, in perfect military, popular and police union. We must continue on that path,” he said.
