This Thursday, October 16, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, assured that “the People have to be power and no one should take it away.” This was stated at the closing ceremony of the National Congress of Chefs and Chefs of the Fatherland as part of the celebration for World Food Day.
The Head of State praised the organizational process of the movement, which he described as the popular constituent process, maintained with force since the time of Commander Chávez. “It seems to me that this is the process that all social movements in the country have to go through (...) a permanent process of strengthening and adapting to the new conditions of society,” he said.He specified that the people must be power and exercise it. “The people have to be power where they live, where they study... or the people are power and exercise it or someone else comes and takes it away, and we already know who wants to take power away from the people,” he said.
He added that today the empire wants that power. “Those demonic powers, who intend to put their claws on Venezuela to steal Venezuelan oil... The objective is only one, to colonize us and steal all our wealth and continue to enrich the Gringo Empire.”
