This Tuesday, November 25, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, told the soldiers of the Great Homeland: Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, “when the Clarín de la Patria sounds, until the cry of the mother is silent”, referring to the threats of the military deployment of North American imperialism in the Caribbean.
“We were free because united we were under a single command, under a single dream and banner. In a single Army. The times of Bolivar have returned and the times of the Great Homeland, rest assured and certain of what I am saying, will return sooner rather than later for the emancipation of the oppressed peoples of our beloved South America,” he emphasized.
The statement was made in the Courtyard of Honor of the Military Academy of the Bolivarian Army in Caracas, on the occasion of the Bicentenary of the delivery of the sword of Peru to El Libertador Simón Bolívar, in recognition of his victories in the Battles of Junín and Ayacucho against Spanish imperialism.
Regarding the aforementioned sword, he specified that “this glorious sword was carved by the hands of an Aimara Indian from upper Peru (...) free Indians made this jewel, declaring Simon Bolivar, the Liberator of Peru, of our America, even if this burns to the racist oligarchy of Lima”.
