This Thursday, November 27, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, urged all those who like to talk about democracy “and to get involved in the internal affairs of Venezuela, come, so that you can get to know this people with their experiences of direct democracy and works in the territory.”
“Here we are, experiencing the system of true democracy,” he emphasized in the parish of 23 de Enero, in the Simón Bolívar Socialist Commune, where he led the presentation of advances in the Consolidation of the Route of Communal Government.
On his journey, at the beginning of the day, he reiterated that working hand in hand with the people from the communities is direct and true democracy.
In this regard, he recalled all the aggressions and situations of scarcity of food and various products when the economic war against Venezuela began by North American imperialism and how the Bolivarian Government, together with the Popular Power, managed to overcome that situation and currently there is a total supply of food.
He stated that the attacks were not against him, but against the People, “and the answer was to call on the People to fight. Today, he stressed, the country has a 100% supply with domestic production.”
“Together we are all possible,” he said.
He also recalled the first visit of Commander Hugo Chávez to the parish of 23 de Enero, and how from the outset these communities overflowed with love for the supreme leader of the Bolivarian Revolution.
