The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated this Wednesday the complaint of the media campaign promoted by Western media to generate chaos and violence in the country, allied with the extreme right.
“Does Venezuela have to allow itself to be assaulted by trained, paid, drugged criminals? How much more evidence do we have to present for you to say enough is enough? It's okay, that you don't like me, you didn't like Chávez or you like Bolívar or our history, but why do you have to bring a country into a war with your media”, questioned the Head of State from the Miraflores Palace, at a press conference with national and international media.
In this regard, he recalled the multiple wars promoted by the imperial media. “You remember the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Who created the file? Who created the lie and did they bomb? And who asked for forgiveness from the Western mainstream media, from CNN, from the BBC, from AP, AFP, Washington Post, New York Times? Who apologized for a million families who lost their homes? Who apologized for the more than 200,000 dead?” , he whipped.
He rejected that they now want to bring a war to Venezuela through their campaign, but “Venezuela has its truth and I come here to defend the truth of our country. I'm not afraid of your lies, I have to face them rather with the truth,” he emphasized.
