President Maduro to young people: It will be their turn to direct the destinies of the Homeland on the 100th anniversary of the Commander!

This Monday, May 6, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted to the youth of Venezuela the great responsibility they have because in 50 years and more they will have to assume the reins of the Fatherland; and that it will also coincide with the centenary of Commander Hugo Chávez.

“Our boys and girls, you will have to direct the destinies of the Fatherland when 2054 arrives and this town on the street, on July 28, 2054, comes out to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of Commander Chávez, the centenary of the birth of the 21st century Giant of America, Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías, that is why the commitment you have is very great to remain persevering, honest, so as not to have a single stain on your soul record,” he said.

He emphasized that young people have to take to the streets next to the town, “to learn from their pain, sacrifices, struggles and their hopes as well.”

He stressed that in the year 2050 and beyond Venezuela will be a powerful country, thanks to the work of the Bolivarian Revolution and the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez. “If it is sovereign, independent, strengthened, impregnable, it will be, and the generation that is governing the destinies of the Homeland will have a totally new, powerful, direct, popular and socialist democracy,” he said.

He also stressed that in economic terms, the country will also have a bright future. “It will reach the highest levels ever seen on this earth and on this continent, I have no doubt; we will also have advanced towards higher stages of union and integration of our America,” he said.
