President Maduro: Venezuela builds democracy every day with the power of the people

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Wednesday, October 08, stressed that Venezuela builds democracy every day with the people, with the power of the People, “we are here to work, through participatory democracy, with our own model.”

“We have our own democratic model, ours, the Venezuelan model, the Bolivarian one, that of direct democracy,” he said.

In this regard, he assured that many leaders once they come to power “do what they want, as was the case before here in Venezuela and happens in countries where they have a false, bourgeois and oligarchic democracy.”

This was highlighted in the El Cementerio sector in Caracas, where the completely rehabilitated Dr. Julio Criollo Rivas Pediatric Hospital inaugurated, and reaffirmed several proposals of Commander Hugo Chávez's Blue Book, written in 1990.

“Venezuela has never surrendered to repressive, looting oligarchies and Commander Chávez began to rescue and outline the Simon Bolivar National Project,” he said.
