President Maduro: Venezuela has a large army to protect peace, sovereignty and independence

Regarding the Special Military Exercises that took place last Saturday throughout the country, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured that Venezuela has a large Army to protect the peace, sovereignty and independence of the Homeland in the face of any aggression against our country.

In addition, through his Telegram channel, he specified that the execution of this day “demonstrates the very high spirit of unity, combativity, discipline and commitment of the Militia and of our people in arms (...) The strength of a well-prepared army is felt in every corner”.

“In every quadrant, every circuit, inch by inch in Venezuela: the Bolivarian Homeland is jealously guarded by a highly cohesive army trained to protect our Peace, Sovereignty and Independence,” he said.

He emphasized that the priority of Venezuelans is to protect sovereignty. “Venezuela is a country of peace, and that is why we are preparing: the operational readiness and the mobilization exercise are being organized for the comprehensive defense of the Homeland. The will to defend the nation is more than demonstrated,” he said.

During the Special Military Exercises that took place this Saturday across the country, the 335 Integral Defense Areas (ADI) and the 15,751 Popular Integral Defense Bases (BPDI) were activated, as a sign of the perfect popular-military-police fusion that Venezuela has to protect its territory.
