President Maduro: Venezuela has never had a criminal current like that of the commandos

This Wednesday, July 31, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, assured that Venezuela had never had a criminal current like that of the commandos of the extreme right wing Edmundo González and María Corina Machado.

“Venezuela has never had a criminal and fascist current like this, we haven't had one and look at how we've had coup plotters here, but we've never seen a criminal current like this,” he said during a press conference for international media.

He also questioned whether figures like these extreme rightists are qualified to govern Venezuela. “Come out of hiding, don't be cowards, and your hands are stained with blood,” he said.

He stressed that behind these commands of Machado and González, they also have behind them “millions of dollars from Elon Musk, from Colombian drug trafficking, the Government of the United States and the fascist international with (Javier) Milei, (Jair) Bolsonaro, all behind”.

He pointed out that with the actions of violent groups in the demonstrations, the extreme right wanted to show that it was the People who were protesting against the Bolivarian Government.

In view of this, he stressed that Venezuela will continue to guarantee peace for the people and by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and security agencies are deployed to search for armed groups that generate violence in the country.
