President Maduro: Venezuela is at peace and in full exercise of its popular sovereignty!

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that today the Constitution, made by the hand of the People and Commander Hugo Chávez, is victorious and Venezuela is at peace, despite threats and attacks against the Homeland.

“We have complied with this Constitution, which was born from our hands, from ordinary men and women, with the People (...) and has been defended by the People and today we say that this Constitution is victorious. Venezuela is at peace and in full exercise of its popular sovereignty, national independence,” said the Head of State or during his inauguration before the National Assembly for the period 2025-2031.

He also reaffirmed that the Constitution, which was written by the People despite the oligarchies, “guarantees a social, democratic and legal State, which is why this act is possible, depending on national sovereignty, against all imperialisms, against all colonialisms”.

In this way, he emphasized to the traitors to the Homeland and to those who attack from outside, that “the Presidente Pueblo and the Presiding People are the drivers of this Constitution, we are its drafters, it was born despite you oligarchs and your last names. He was born against the hair of imperial conspiracies.”

For this reason, he pointed out that “these six years represent the beautiful battle of 500 years against all imperialisms and supremacists. This 500-year history is the story of heroic and wonderful resistance against all forms of domination, against all imperialisms.”
