President Maduro: Venezuela is destined to be a sovereign and socialist power

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, welcomed the swearing in of the Integral Bolivarian Commands at the Miraflores Palace, from where he reiterated his commitment to building the new homeland.

“Despite the circumstances we live in, they will never get us out of the way of building the homeland power that this people deserve. The new productive economy was built,” he said.

In that regard, he pointed out that Venezuela is destined to be a “sovereign and socialist power for the century and beyond (...) We have been perfecting the construction of national power (...) a destructible national power is being built; the power of the new economy that has overcome the blockade and sanctions and must continue to advance in stabilizing all its levels.”

Finally, he recalled that ours is a country of peace, “we don't mess with anyone in this world, don't mess with Venezuela. Have you seen us threaten other countries?”
