The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Monday, October 13, reported that the Bolivarian Government is planning together with international organizations on a proposal to form brigades of builders, farmers and doctors to send them to the Gaza Strip, in order to help and accompany the People of Palestine in their reconstruction.

Referring to the issue, he stressed that he hopes that the peace agreement between Israel and Hamas will be the beginning of a comprehensive agreement. “This must guarantee justice and peace to the Palestinian people, as well as their independent State, in accordance with the UN resolutions of 1948 and 1967,” he said.

During the 94th broadcast of his program Con Maduro+, he explained “we are working on an idea with international organizations to, from Venezuela and other countries (...) help Gaza, accompany the People with internationalist peace brigades, where builders, farmers go to produce, doctors and health personnel go to accompany them in the reconstruction”.

“Hopefully it is possible and that this sacred cause of humanity will never be abandoned again, until the objective of the rebirth of Palestine is achieved,” he stressed.

Regarding the return of thousands of Palestinians to Gaza, President Maduro compared it to Russia's liberation from concentration camps of those Jews who survived Hitler's Nazi Germany in World War II.

“We have been very attentive to the moving images of thousands of Palestinian hostages and prisoners beginning to return to their homes amid rubble,” he said.

He also emphasized that for there to be peace there must be justice and that those responsible for the genocide in Gaza be brought to justice.
