The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, denounced that the extremist right developed a communication campaign to stigmatize the Venezuelan migration process, when in reality it was an escape valve when imperialism launched blockade missiles against the country.

“Those who stigmatized the name of the Venezuelan migrant were the fascist rats and the campaigns began, but here we faced and defeated the Aragua Train,” he said.

In that regard, he explained that “we lost 99% of the country's income as a result of the sanctions and Venezuelans left the country. Then they were stigmatized with the famous Aragua Train, but it turns out that they fell out because we fought the Aragua Train and ended it in Venezuela,” he said.

He specified that “we launched an offensive against all criminal gangs and attacked the pranes in the country's jails. Everywhere you see it, it's something macabre and dirty, because that's what the right wing intended to stigmatize in order to call for intervention against the country.”

In his program With Maduro+, President Maduro noted that “the real truth is that migrants who are returning and want to return are welcome, they are people who work and are good people.”

“They were deceived, they suffered and now they want to be stigmatized. The truth is that of the two planes that have returned, only a small number have a history in Venezuela and the United States has not informed us that it has a history there.”
