the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, ratified the defense of the country's sovereignty 532 years after the Day of Indigenous Resistance.

“With their strength, energy and spirituality, we are moving forward, defending this sacred land. Long live the Indigenous Resistance of our America!” , the national president pointed out through his Telegram channel.

He emphasized that since the arrival of Commander Hugo Chávez to power, the original peoples have been made visible and vindicated by their struggle and ancient history.

“The Bolivarian Revolution came to take into account the original peoples, to put them at the forefront of social, cultural and political leadership, vindicating their historical struggles,” he stressed.
