President Maduro: We govern this country permanently serving the people

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said that his Government is constantly at the service of the Venezuelan people.

“We held four consultations to choose the projects that are transforming communities in the territory, the new model of permanent democracy popular democracy and the Bolivarian Government, we govern this country permanently taking care of the people, following the example of Commander Chávez's legacy,” he said during the swearing in of the Commandos of Integral Bolivarian Communities (CCBI).

During his speech, he highlighted that Venezuela currently produces 216 million kilos of coffee a year, with 428 national brands, as part of the effort to consolidate its own economy. He stressed that the Bolivarian political model has found the path to direct democracy, with a budget at the service of communities, and recalled that this year four popular consultations have been held to choose the projects that are transforming the territories.

President Maduro stressed that progress is being made towards a new model of permanent, popular and territorial democracy, inspired by the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez, who defined territorial socialism as the union of constitutional political power and the executive power at the service of the People.

The head of state highlighted the participation of young people, governors and mayors in this process and thanked God for having a professional and ethical structure of more than 200,000 uniformed soldiers, ready to guarantee security, peace and national sovereignty through peace quadrants.

He also indicated that in the new communal model there must be a peace quadrant for each circuit and highlighted the civic-military merger involving almost 200,000 police officers from all security forces, who join the national effort for the defense and stability of the country.
