The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, assured that starting with this summit, the political agenda will be added to the BRICS.
At the end of the summit, the Head of State pointed out that “the path to the BRICS is being consolidated (...) that is our usual path, since Bolivar because it is the dream and balance of the universe and the dream of (Hugo) Chávez: the new global geopolitics, the multipolar and multicentric world”.
The Head of State added that this is the first time he has attended the BRICS Summit on a presidential mission. He pointed out that “great steps are being taken depending on the journey. Now is the work coming! ”.
President Maduro added that “work is being done to consolidate the economic agenda, which is the new financial architecture, in an integration of the new superpowers, China, Russia, India, with the emerging ones, Iran, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, and the countries that we are modestly emerging with our own projects. It's a unique integration for a new phase (...)”.
