President Maduro: We honor the memory of Omar Torrijos as defender of the sovereignty of Panama

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, regarding the unveiling of a military bust and honors, to commemorate the 96th anniversary of the birth of the leader of the Panamanian Revolution, Brigadier General Omar Efraín Torrijos Herrera, described this tribute from Venezuela as extraordinary.

“Extraordinary tribute from Venezuela, with an event presided over by the Military High Command of our FANB, in which we celebrate the life and eternal legacy of General Omar Torrijos, the leader who rescued the dignity and fought for the independence of Panama, which is Bolivarian land,” said the president in his account on the social network Telegram.

He added that Venezuela honors the memory of this revolutionary and defender of the sovereignty of his people who never bowed to imperialism, and today he is an example of supreme courage and loyalty.

“We raise our prayers so that, sooner rather than later, the Panamanian people will have their time of vindication. Long live Panama!” , emphasized the Head of State.
