President Maduro: We managed to make the election without incident by defeating terrorist violence

This Sunday, May 25, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated that the electoral process was carried out without any type of incident, regarding threats from sectors of the Venezuelan extreme right.

“We succeeded, we managed to make the elections without an incident and we managed to defeat the violence that the terrorists had prepared for the country, we defeated them again, we defeated the violent and fascists again,” he said, noting that he maintained communication with the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello.

In addition, after exercising his right to vote at the Simón Rodríguez Ecological School in Caracas, he recalled that sectors of the extreme right intended to place explosives in electoral centers, which is why security had to be reinforced in the country's 14,000 centers.

He noted that Venezuela received attacks for three days, pointing to attacks on refineries and against the Guri Hydroelectric Power Plant. In addition, he indicated that they also intended attacks against military and political leaders of the Revolution; as well as against opponents who participate in elections.

“I don't say more, but we defeated violence and terrorism and the world knows it,” he said.
