President Nicolás Maduro assured that in Venezuela it went from being a country in which obstructionist positions ceased to have followers within moderate and rational opposition sectors.

Nobody wants the old politics of right-wing oppositionism. They prefer the one who proposes and that they allow him to participate, that is the new democracy, the one that we are building,” he said in his program Maduro Live de Repente.

He recalled that in 2005 all the opposition withdrew from the elections to the National Assembly because of the certainty that they would be defeated in that electoral process, in one of the most arrogant acts of the old political class and the nascent sectors of fascism.

“Without a doubt, we are in an accelerated phase of the country's organic transformation. The call for intervention, for violence, for coups d'etat, have no place in Venezuelan society. Every vote on Sunday, May 25, will be for Peace,” he said.
