President of ANSA: Peace has been essential for 90% of the products on the shelves to be domestically produced

The president of the National Association of Supermarkets and Self-Service Services (ANSA), Ítalo Atencio, ratified the commitment of this sector to continue working every day for the welfare and food care of the Venezuelan people, as well as maintaining the results of sovereignty and peace in the sector.

In this context, he reported that, as a result of this sovereignty, 90% of the products on supermarket shelves are domestically produced.

The statement was made at the event led by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, on the occasion of the installation of the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, which brought together 434 guests from all strategic sectors of the country to reaffirm, in a unified manner, the defense of Venezuela's sovereignty and peace.

Atencio shared the advances achieved in the supermarket world in recent years, as part of the teamwork that has been carried out by the private sector in coordination with the National Executive.

He also highlighted that 95% of transactions are made in bolivars, and that to date, 30 new supermarkets have been opened across the country in 2025.
