President of ANSA: The supermarket sector opened 63 new stores in 2025

The president of the National Association of Supermarkets and Self-Services (ANSA), Ítalo Ascencio, explained that the sector exceeded the initial goal of 2024 with 40 new stores, planning to close 2025 with the opening of 63 stores in the country.
In the National Council for Productive Economy, he said that “this
effort generates 724,000 jobs (direct and indirect) and represents
4.7% of the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP).”
The president of ANSA said that 90% of the products that fill the Venezuelan shelves are of national origin, while 98% of transactions are made in bolivars.
