President of Cuba expresses “strong rejection” of Trump's threats of a maritime blockade against Venezuela

The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, expressed in a message of “strong rejection” of the announcement of a maritime blockade by the United States against Venezuela.

“We strongly support President Nicolás Maduro, the Bolivarian and Chavista Revolution, and their Military-Popular union, our full support for the official statement published by Venezuela,” Díaz-Canel wrote through X.

The Venezuelan Government described Trump's statements as a “grotesque threat” and violation of international law and announced that it will formally denounce this outrage to the United Nations.

Both governments have constantly denounced Washington's aggressive actions against countries in the region.
