President of Mexico and confirmed the removal of the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel

This Monday, in a meeting with the media, the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, confirmed that the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), alias “El Tolín”, died after the operation that took place last Sunday against “El Mencho”, co-founder of the conglomerate considered one of the most powerful in the country.

“El Tolín” was the logistics and financial operator and the main trusted person of “El Mencho”. After the implementation of the operation, he began to coordinate blockades on communication routes, vehicle fires, attacks on military installations, the National Guard, businesses and government facilities. In addition, it offered 20,000 pesos (more than a thousand dollars) for each soldier who murdered the personnel of that criminal group.

After the location, there was a confrontation with military personnel and resulted in the death of the ringleader. A long gun, a handgun, 7 million 200 thousand pesos (420 thousand dollars) and 965 thousand American dollars, cartridges, magazines and the vehicle in which he tried to escape were located.

Russia Today (RT) highlighted that at a press conference the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, García Harfuch, yesterday in the attacks carried out after the action to arrest 'El Mencho', 27 attacks against the authority were recorded.

In Jalisco, 25 members of the National Guard, a guardian, a member of the State Attorney General's Office and a woman lost their lives, while 30 members of the cartel died.
