President of Mexico: October 12 is neither Race Day nor Hispanic Heritage Day

The president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, said that October 12 is neither Race Day nor Hispanic Day, reported the news portal RT.

The Azteca president assured that on the continent, particularly in Mexico, there were already great civilizations and cultures, so the discovery of America was only for Europeans.

He also pointed out that the arrival of Christopher Columbus “represented the subjugation and even elimination of native peoples”, so he urged the European community to apologize for the “crimes” committed, and assured that this action is something shameful, on the contrary, it “magnifies and brings peoples closer”.
