President of Mexico rejects false information about AMLO's health status

The president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, stated that the journalistic versions about the state of health of former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador are false, so she called for greater professionalism from the country's media when it comes to releasing sensitive information.

In her usual morning meeting with the press, the president named journalist Jorge Fernández Menéndez by name and surname as the person who disseminated the information without having any source to support it.

“First, the irresponsibility of some communicators and I say this with all their lyrics: Jorge Fernández Menéndez, he was the one who was reporting that President López Obrador had entered the Military Hospital. What source did he have? None, because it was false. How is it possible that someone who calls himself a journalist, someone who says he is committed to the truth, can spread news of this type?” , questioned the Mexican president.
