The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, said this Wednesday that his nation is ready to carry out joint projects in the field of bioeconomy with its BRICS partners and other integration alliances.

“We are willing to implement joint scientific, educational and investment programs in biotechnology for the benefit of all humanity within the BRICS and other bilateral cooperation organizations,” said the president at the Future Technologies Forum, which is being held in Moscow.

In addition, Putin assured that Russia intends to take advantage of the potential of the bioeconomy “to strengthen the nation's health, address other priority issues and accelerate technological and industrial development without compromising the unique natural potential of our country,” he added, as quoted by Russia Today (RT).

In addition, he noted that it is undoubtedly important to occupy a decent place in global biotechnology markets.

“We must work with our closest neighbors, with whom we have already maintained very good and cordial relations and cooperation in various areas for decades,” said the Russian head of state.
