The president of the National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT), G/D Gabriel Aguana Rodríguez, described as positive the deployment of Happy and Safe Carnivals 2024, which seeks to reduce accidents and in turn create road awareness among citizens.

Aguana Rodríguez stressed the importance of ensuring compliance with joint resolutions, issued by the Ministries of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, and for Transportation.

“These resolutions focus on three fundamental points for prevention: the first refers to speed limits for heavy loads, which are 45 km/h and must travel on the right channel, the different roads of the country, as established by resolution 088 - 0190,” explained the President of the INTT.

He also referred to resolution 004 - 002, and explained that minibuses and buses cannot exceed 70 km/h on highways and trunk roads in the country. He also urged carriers who are going to provide off-road service to process the authorization granted by the INTT, through terrestrial terminals, after hygiene and comfort supervision, and a technical review - vehicle mechanics.

“The authorization is a necessary document to leave the assigned route, and it is a truly expedited procedure, which helps to have control of the service providers,” said Aguana Rodríguez.

Finally, he called for prevention and compliance with the rules to circulate peacefully and with road awareness throughout the national territory.
