The president of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, denied that his country had received or accepted an offer from the United States for the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, to be sent into exile in that country, after his kidnapping.

He stated that Ankara is not aware of such a proposal and that he has not heard anything about it, international media reports.

This statement was made by Recep Tayyip Erdogan when a journalist answered the questions, who asserted that “an American senator” had said it, to which Erdoğan exalted “well, nothing like that has come to me”.

It should be remembered that Erdogan has advocated the preservation of stability and respect for international law in relation to the events in Venezuela, reiterating that Türkiye does not tolerate actions that violate the sovereignty of other States.
