The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, signed this Tuesday the decree establishing a Unified Protocol for Non-Oil Exports, Postal Services and Related Activities.

During his speech at the National Council for Productive Economy, the President stated that this is “a fundamental step in the direction of achieving an effective, efficient State; there is no reason not to have a more effective State in economic matters”.

“Tell me a political reason, a strategic reason; tell me a reason for the national plan,” he questioned, stressing that “the time has come for us to take a giant step. And I'm already talking about the first quarter, because we are already becoming clearer and sharper in the goals of 2026, 2027, so that the economy continues to grow and develop,” he said.
