The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, stated this Friday, October 11, that a new world order is being formed “that reflects the diversity of the entire planet”, as well as that “this natural process is irreversible,” the Prensa Latina website reported.

During his speech at the International Forum “Interconnection of Times and Civilizations, the Basis of Peace and Development”, held in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, warned that “the world is facing unprecedented threats, generated by failures of civilization, interethnic and interreligious conflicts, when international relations have entered an era of fundamental global changes”.

“New and powerful centers of economic growth and financial and political influence are emerging, mainly here, in the Global East and in the Global South as a whole,” he continued.

In that regard, he noted that Russia advocates an international debate as wide as possible on the parameters of interaction in the emerging multipolar world and is open to discussing issues related to the construction of a new world order with all our friends, partners and like-minded people.

“Even within the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Eurasian Economic Community, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the BRICS,” he said.

He said that in this spirit the country is preparing for the BRICS and BRICS Outreach summits, referring to the events that will be held in the Russian city of Kazan later this month.

The International Forum “Interconnection of Times and Civilizations - Foundations of Peace and Development”, which is being held on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the thinker and philosopher, poet and public personality Makhtumkuli Fraghi, is of great relevance in the modern world, geopolitika.ru said.

On the other hand, in a review of the Russia Today portal, Putin noted that most of the world's states advocate “a more equitable distribution of benefits”.

The Russian president referred to global peace, and to achieve it, he said, “it can be achieved taking into account the interests of all the peoples of the planet.”

“We are convinced that universal peace and integral development can only be guaranteed by taking into account the opinions of each people, while at the same time respecting the right of each State to its own sovereign direction, to its own worldview, to its own traditions and religious ideas,” he stressed.
