President: We are willing to defend the right to peace

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated this Wednesday his commitment to the defense of the country's right to peace, which is under permanent threat from extremist sectors.

During the notification of the beginning of the 2025-2026 session of the National Assembly, by the Board of Directors of the Parliament, the head of state stressed that “peace is the most precious asset we have managed to conquer in this 21st century”.

However, he pointed out that world peace is threatened, “the peace of all territories. With peace everything is possible. We are willing to defend the right to peace, which is to defend the people's constitutional rights to life in harmony, in society, so good,” he emphasized.
