The President of China, Xi Jinping, arrived this Monday, April 14, in the city of Hanoi to pay a state visit to Vietnam and begin a tour of Southeast Asia that will also take him to Malaysia and Cambodia marked by the trade war between Beijing and Washington.
President Jinping is expected to meet with the main leaders of Vietnam, one of the countries hardest hit by the additional tariffs that the United States plans to impose, under the presidency of Trump, the Telesur website reported.
During the Chinese president's visit to Vietnam, both countries will sign around 40 bilateral agreements on a wide range of issues.
Xi Jinping will also visit Malaysia and Cambodia, both countries affected by the additional tariffs of 24% and 49%, respectively, to strengthen diplomatic and trade relations between China and its Asian neighbors.
