Presidential Commission recognizes the work of engineers after the double earthquake of June 24

A total of 560 engineers from various regions of the country received recognition for their performance in the tasks of rapid visual assessment and determination of the habitability of infrastructures affected by the recent double earthquake recorded in the national territory.
The event was held in the auditorium of the Faculty of Engineering of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) and was led by the Minister for Transportation and president of the Presidential Commission for the Evaluation of Infrastructure Habitability, Francisco Garcés, in the company of researchers and authorities from the scientific and technological sector, the Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology (MPPCYT) reported on its web portal.
During the activity, Garcés highlighted the technical rigor and human commitment of the professionals deployed since July 14 in the impacted areas, highlighting the use of methodological tools to ensure the safety of the population.
In addition, representatives of the Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (Funvisis) and the Engineering Institute Foundation (FIIIDT) valued the work of technical teams composed of personnel from various mayors and governorates to provide certainty and peace of mind to affected families.
